For most induction cooktops, you need to use a dedicated high quality, high power outlet with high power rating of 10A-16A.
Do not use poor quality or low power outlets of less than 10A power.
It is advisable not to share the same power outlet with other electrical appliances with high power ratings, such as an air conditioners, electrical stoves etc. to avoid any danger of electrical fires caused by overloading the outlet.
Always check to make sure the plug is inserted firmly into the wall socket before switching on the cooktop.
Never let the induction stove run unattended, especially if you have pets or children in the house.
Place the cooktop in a well-ventilated area on a non-metallic flat surface.
Do not put the induction cooktop on a metallic surface (such as iron, stainless steel, aluminum).
Keep the cooktop away from other sources of heat – gas stove, kerosene stove, gas cooker, burner, ovens etc. and direct sunlight. Avoid exposure to extreme heat, open fire or an environment with high
Do not place the induction cooktop on paper, on a carpet, on a tablecloth while in use to avoid blocking the air inlet opening or air outlet opening, which will affect the heat emission.
Before running the induction cooktop, you need to check that there are no objects (glass, paper, etc.) that could obstruct the inlet under your induction hot plate.
Do not keep cloth, paper or any flammable material close to the cooktop.
Do not place paper, aluminum foil, cloth or other unsuitable articles onto the induction cooktop heating plate.
Do not place empty vessels on the cookotop to avoid affecting product performance and to prevent injury. Also an empty vessel could deform due to intense heating if the cooktop is turned on.
Do not place metallic objects, especially iron objects on the induction cooktop heating plate, particularly not while it is turned on.
When using the induction cooktop, place it horizontally on a dry, stable and level surface and allow at least 10 cm of free space on all the sides of the induction cooktop. Do not use the induction cooker in an extremely narrow space.
Keep the ventilation opening obstruction-free.
Do not block the ventilation in any way or insert any foreign objects (such as iron wire etc) into the air ventilation opening or entry port.
Do not rinse the induction cooktop under water.
Avoid spilling liquids like water and soup into the internal parts of the induction cooktop.
Do not place the induction cooktop on a gas stove while it is on (the magnetic lines can heat the metal parts of the gas stove).
Metal objects, such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be put on the surface of the cooktop’s cooking zone, as they will get heated.
Do not place heavy objects on the cooktop plate as it is breakable.
Avoid causing impacts on the heating plate as it may damage the plate.
Do not touch the heating plate during or immediately after cooking, as it retains heat from the cookware and takes some time to cool down.
Do not touch the metallic surface of a vessel kept on an induction cooktop with your bare hands.
Unplug the power cord from the socket after cooking, while cleaning and when not in use.
Unplug the power cord from the outlet or atleast switch off the power switch where the power cord is plugged in, after use to avoid fire and/or damage to the electronic components caused by prolonged electrical connection.
Do not unplug or switch off the main power switch immediately after cooking for a minimum of 3 minutes or until the fan is running. Switching off immediately after cooking will cause the cooktop to overheat and malfunction.
People with heart pacemakers or other cardiac implants should consult a doctor or pacemaker manufacturer before using n induction cooktop.
Do not use the cooktop if the plug or the main cord or the top plate is visibly damaged like there is a cut, crack or burn etc. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced before using.
Keep the power cord out of the reach of children. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the table or countertop on which the induction cooktop stands.
Always clean the induction cooktop after use to avoid any dirt from getting into the fan, which could influence the normal working of the cooktop.
Do not clean the cooktop immediately with water after cooking, as the glass or ceramic top may crack.
Clean the top plate of the cooktop with a soft damp cloth to remove dirt and spills if any.
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone to clean the cooktop.
Do not put vinegar on the cooking plate.
Protect the induction cooktop from bugs, dirt, dust and humidity. Avoid letting cockroaches and other pests fall into the internal parts of the induction cooktop as that might get trapped in the fan or cause a short circuit of the electrical board.
Remove all metallic, plastic items, electrical objects, electronic gadgets and canned foods from near the cooktop.
An induction cooktop is not meant to be operated by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or by anyone who lacks of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the cooktop by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be operating this appliance only under supervision to avoid injuries. Keep the induction cooktop away from the reach of children.
When not in use for a long period, clean it and put into a plastic bag and store it in a cool and dry place.
Do not use a domestic induction cooktop for commercial purposes.
